Alec Baer celebrates a goal for the Vancouver Giants. (Province Files.)
The 42 players for the third annual CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game will be announced Wednesday. It’ll be interesting to see if Vancouver Giants forward Alec Baer, a Minnesota native, will be included.
USA Hockey says that it’s supposed to be the top American prospects for the 2015 NHL entry draft. The game is slated for Sept. 25 at the First Niagara Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres.
Baer, 17, showed flashes of an offensive flair last season with the Giants, en route to eight goals and 18 points in 60 games. Baer’s been dynamic in the early going of the Giants’ training camp at Sungod Rec Centre this week.
